About

About BTO Renovation SG

An HDB BTO renovation and fit-out business, built around getting the rules and the numbers right before anyone talks about finishes.

What we do

Scope first, then a number

The short answer

We renovate HDB BTO flats: the full fit-out between key collection and moving in, plus the permit paperwork that has to be filed before any of it can start.

Most renovation quotes go wrong in the same place. A number is given before anyone has established what the flat allows, and the difference surfaces later as a variation. We work the other way round: what does HDB permit in this block, what does the layout actually need, and what does that scope cost against figures that are published and dated.

That is also why there is no price list on this site. A published package price is a number attached to a scope you have not agreed to yet.

How we source

Where every number here comes from

The short answer

Regulations come from HDB and link to the page they came from. Cost figures come from named third-party datasets and carry the date they were published.

Renovation content has a habit of repeating figures until they sound official. We do not do that. Every rule on this site is quoted from a primary source, usually HDB's own renovation guidance, and carries the date we read it. Every cost band is attributed to the dataset it came from, with its publication date, and is presented as a range rather than a quote. Where two sources disagree, both are shown rather than quietly averaged.

The full method is on how we source and check our figures.

What we are not

Things this site deliberately does not claim

There are no customer reviews, star ratings or testimonials anywhere on this site, and no photographs presented as our completed projects. The interiors used are illustrations of a described style or material, captioned as such. When we have work and customers whose consent we hold, that will change, and it will be dated.

We also do not display a licence number, an accreditation badge or a registration ID. Those are publicly checkable in Singapore registries, and a badge that cannot be checked is worse than none. What we do instead is tell you exactly how to check any contractor, including us: the requirement, the register, and the penalty for getting it wrong are set out on how to check an HDB renovation contractor.
